I’ve done pretty well keeping current with Glacier’s Edge Council CSPs, but I have let one CSP fall through the cracks.

 1. Glacier’s Edge Council - 2006 Baraboo Circus Heritage  “20″

Takoda Lodge Releases New Flap Designs

Takoda Lodge, Glacier’s Edge Council #620, has released two new Flap Designs:

Phoenix Members Flap
2008 Takoda Lodge Phoenix Member FlapThe first flap is for its “Phoenix Members”, this is the designation given to those members who pay one fee, $75, to pay for their dues and register for all Lodge events for the year. The Lodge is able to take part of the amount and place it in a Capital Development Fund for the three Glacier’s Edge Council Camps.

The concept for the Phoenix Membership had been in the talk for a while. Tichora Lodge one of the predecessor Lodges had actively discussed a one fee concept but never put it into practice. Takoda Lodge started the Phoenix Member program last year (2007) but never issued the promised flap, which annoyed a group of its members.

I’m still debating whether or not I’ll pay the money for a Phoenix Membership. Originally I wasn’t going to pay my dues with Takoda Lodge this year but I may change my mind. I kind of like this design compared to the other Takoda Lodge issues that have been too flashy for my tastes. I’ll probably wait to see how the flap turns out, I am hoping there is no mylar involved.

ArrowCorps5 Fundraising 2-Piece Patch Set
ArrowCorps5 Fundraising 2-Piece Patch SetThe second design is a commemorative two-part patch set. The patch will be used to help fund transportation costs for Arrowmen participating in ArrowCorps5. The Lodge has 22 Arrowmen committed to serving at Mark Twain National Forest (Missouri) and Bridger-Teton National Forest (Wyoming).

The patch set was designed by Takoda Lodge’s ArrowCorps5 Chairman, Matt Kaney. The set will be sold for $10 and will be first available for purchase at the Takoda Lodge Winter Banquet, and then both Glacier’s Edge Council offices come January 10th.

I have been asked if this will actually be two patches or will be an un-cut set like previous Lodge issued sets. I am not active with the Lodge anymore so I am uncertain but if I had to guess it will probably be an un-cut issue.
