No Google hat for me…
I received an email back from google in regards to the bug I discovered (see Maybe They’ll Send me a Google Hat!), seems like they are aware of the situation and working on it:

To be honest I am surprised it takes so long to fix a simple issue as removing a subdomain. Unless there is something I’m missing I think Google has lost its laid back approach and is caught up in the red tape.
