Tactical Gaming Systems

I was talking with some fellow military folks today (Imagine that) when I came up with an awesome product idea…

We were talking about how some of the folks driving Gators around the Airbase park in parking spots for tactical vehicles. Since we’ve never seen a Gator with mounted armament we figured it must be tactical because it is painted green. It’s a logical argument.

Using that logic the person I was with stated that he had seen tactical gaming systems out at some of the smaller FOBs in Afghanistan. It seems there is a good reason to make something like that tactical, but we aren’t going to go into that here.

Anyways that is when I was thinking, they make laptops that are able to be beat around and dropped, why not make a gaming system that is just as rugged? It’s obvious that the U.S. military is going to be busy for the next few years if not longer, and it’s a given that soldiers need entertainment. A rugged version of the Playstation or XBox would be awesome in a deployed environment.

Maybe I’ll email Sony and Microsoft.
